Lessons

Learn classical violin, piano, fiddling, or jazz violin from a professional! I can teach beginning, intermediate, and college-prep violin and basic piano. If you are a pianist who has played for more than 3 years, I can refer you.

My timeslots are flexible and my pricing is the best anywhere. These private lessons are one 1/2 hour session (1 hour for advanced students), once a week. Payments of $60 are paid for 4 lessons ($15 each) at the beginning of each set.

My downtown location is just off the Bijou exit and my Briargate location is near Lexington and Research. Sorry, I don’t do “travel-teaching”: I can’t come to you.

You will need to provide your own instrument for practice. If you are a new violin student, try renting one at any Graner or Meeker Music location for $15-$30/month.

Make sure you have the right size. If you are a piano student, any keyboard will do. If you don’t have anything, try craigslist. Sometimes you can get a decent keyboard for as little as $15. Beginners won’t need the full 88 keys.

All ages over 4 are welcome! It’s never too late to try something new. Quite a few of my current students are adults. I can also give theory-only lessons for those of you who just want to learn how to read sheet music. Coaching for youth chamber groups is also available on request.
